The Iron Sharpeneth Iron Conference is an International ministers conference, usually held annually in Accra, Ghana. At this conference, ministers of the Gospel gather from all over the world for four days, in an exciting camp-like atmosphere. The aim of the conference is encapsulated in its name - to sharpen ministers to continue serving The Lord and to achieve higher heights in ministry, to His glory.
Proverbs 27:17 : 'Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.'
The conference began in 2004 with just a handful of people gathered on the University of Ghana campus. The heart of Dag Heward-Mills has been to share with others how and what The Lord has instructed, guided, blessed and graciously endowed him with over the years, with the aim of helping lives and ministries. It is through this desire that the Iron Sharpeneth Iron conference was born.
What started in a small hall ten years ago with a few ministers from all over Ghana, has evolved greatly over the years into an international conference where thousands of ministers gather from truly every part of the world. At last year's conference, more than forty nations were represented at the conference with over twelve thousand pastors and ministers in attendance.
During the conference, Dag Heward-Mills also shares the podium with other seasoned senior ministers from all over the world who also teach what The Lord has laid on their hearts, to the participants gathered.
2014 marks the tenth anniversary of the conference. For the very first time, there will be an Iron Sharpeneth Iron Conference in the United Kingdom! The Lord has blessed the conference such that there is a great demand for it in many parts of the world. Ministers in the United Kingdom and Europe can now travel a shorter distance to have the same experience. If you are a minister living in Europe and most especially in the United Kingdom, don't miss this conference for anything!
We trust that this conference will leave you rejuvenated, empowered and strengthened by the Holy Ghost for His glory and purpose.
