Durham University Light Opera Group is back yet again to stun Durham audiences with their January residence at the Gala Theatre, Durham. The show?
Guys and Dolls.
Transporting the audience back to 1950s New York, “Guys and Dolls” tells the story of a bet between sharp-suited, law-breaking gamblers Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson, evolving into a tale of romance against all odds, “crap-shooting”, and the struggle to save a Salvation Army mission, punctuated by a brilliant score with classics such as “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat”, “Adelaide’s Lament”, and “Lucky Be a Lady”.
Tuesday 21st January (7.30pm) and Wednesday 22nd January (2.30pm performance)
Wednesday 22nd January (7.30pm performance) - Saturday 25th January
